It's historical, really. Let's see which direction the US will swerve to.

KS: Professor and Chair, Graduate Program in Digital Content Studies, Meiji University, Tokyo. My field is comparative poetics in a very broad sense, especially covering the following four chrono-topic areas: (1) The lyric and conceptual writings by those who were born in the final quarter of the 19th century (2) Francophone world literature (3) ethnopoetics (4) literary imagination and works in disciplines such as anthropology, archeology, geography, biology, and ecology. My collections of essays are: Columbus's Dog (1989), The Moon When the Wolves Run Together (1994), Tropical Gossip (1998), Coyote Reading (2003), Omniphone (2005), and honolulu, braS/Zil (2006), Don't Worry, Books Are Unreadable Anyway (2009) and Transversal Journeys (2009). My translations include books by such authors as Jean-François Lyotard, Francisco Varela, Gilles Lapouge, Edouard Glissant, Maryse Condé, Isabelle Allende, Jamaica Kincaid, Aimee Bender, J.M.G. Le Clézio, among others.
